Über die Rettungsleitstelle wurde die Polizei über einen Verkehrsunfall mit verletzten Personen informiert. Die 27-jährige Fahrerin eines VW T5 befuhr die L982 aus Richtung Nennhausen und wollte über die B188 in Richtung Stechow fahren. In diesem Moment querte eine 34-jährige Frau mit ihrem VW Passat auf der B188 in Richtung Rathenow den Kreuzungsbereich.
Die Fahrerin des VW T5 hat dabei nach derzeitigem Erkenntnisstand den VW Passat nicht wahrgenommen und ist in die Fahrerseite gefahren. In der weiteren Folge hat sich der VW Passat überschlagen. Bei dem Unfall haben sich die Fahrerin des Passats und die 27-jährige Mitfahrerin des Transporters verletzt. Durch einen Rettungswagen wurden die Verletzten in ein nahegelegenes Krankenhaus gebracht. An beiden Fahrzeugen ist ein wirtschaftlicher Totalschaden entstanden. Die Fahrbahn in Richtung Rathenow wurde von 11:15 Uhr an für etwa 1 ½ Stunden für die polizeiliche Unfallaufnahme halbseitig gesperrt.
